先日、新たに追加される第2部のタイトルが「The Hobbit：The Desolation of Smaug(スマウグの荒らし場？)」に決定したとのニュースが出た『The Hobbit/ホビットの冒険』3部作。
2部と3部の間は1年も空けないとの話でしたが、公開日が決定しました。
2012.12.13公開 - 第1部：The Hobbit:Unexpected Journey/ホビット：思いがけない冒険
2013.12.13公開 - 第1部：The Hobbit:The Desolation of Smaug/未定
2014.07.18公開 - 第3部：The Hobbit:There and Back Again/ホビット：ゆきて帰りし物語
The Hollywood Reporter：New Line and Warner Bros. also have retitled the second film "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug."
Warner Bros. and New Line have set July 18, 2014, as the release date for the third film in Peter Jackson's ambitious The Hobbit trilogy.
Additionally, the second film has been retitled The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. The third film will take the title that was previously assigned to the second film, The Hobbit: There and Back Again.
スマウグは第1部の最後で目を開くだけらしいので、2部、3部でもっと出番があればいいなと思います。原作ではそれほど出てこない印象もあるのですが…
